What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a site. It lets the site recognize your device on subsequent requests. Most cookies are removed when you sign out or after a fixed expiry.

How we use cookies

We use cookies for three things, and only three:

  • Sign-in. Keeps you logged in and your session secure.
  • Preferences. Remembers your theme (light/dark), language, and basic UI settings.
  • Analytics. First-party, aggregated usage data so we can see what's being used. No personal profiling.

Third-party cookies

We do not load third-party advertising or social tracking scripts. The only third-party cookie ever set is by Stripe, only on pages where you're entering payment details, for fraud prevention. Stripe's cookie policy applies on those pages.

Controlling cookies

You can decline all non-essential cookies in our cookie banner the first time you visit, and change your choice anytime via Settings → Privacy. Browsers also let you block or delete cookies — see your browser's help.

If you block essential cookies you won't be able to sign in.

Do Not Track

We respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) and the Do Not Track header — when either is set, we automatically disable our analytics cookie.

Changes

If we ever add a new cookie we'll update this page and re-prompt for consent if it's non-essential.
